Aer Lingus announce new UK flights for Dublin Airport

Aer Lingus is launching three new routes from the UK to Dublin.

The airline will soon fly from Bristol, Newquay and Exeter to Dublin Airport under a franchise agreement by Emerald Airlines as Aer Lingus Regional.

From March 27 there will be three daily flights from Bristol Airport to Dublin, with connections to 11 US destinations including New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia, Orlando, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Toronto.

There will also be five flights a week from Exeter to Dublin as of April 29, also offering connections to the US.

Aer Lingus made the announcement as part of their strategy to expand Dublin Airport as a hub airport.

Lynne Embleton, Aer Lingus chief executive, said: “Today is about opportunities. Opportunities for our UK customers to connect with ease to Aer Lingus flights to North America and to take advantage of the US preclearance facility.

“Opportunities for customers across UK and Ireland as we develop the Aer Lingus regional network. And opportunities for the Irish economy and Irish aviation as we expand our hub at Dublin.

Emerald is recruiting for staff to work on the new routes, as well as popular routes such as Dublin-Edinburgh and Dublin-Glasgow.
