Advert selling cannabis and cocaine leaves social media users gobsmacked

Facebook users in Falkirk have been left gobsmacked after a post appeared on the social media site advertising the sale of Class A drugs.

The advert, which has since been deleted, included two pictures of cannabis and cocaine.

It also had a mobile phone number and Instagram profile username attached to it - as well as the offer of 'trails'.

Police Scotland have confirmed that the post is being investigated by officers, and have urged locals to report any concerns.

One person posted: "This cannot be real, is this person actually crazy?"

A second wrote: "That's one way to get yourself the jail, flogging your gear on social media."

A third commented: "Free trail? Very generous of them."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Anyone with information or concerns about drug dealing or misuse in the community can contact Police Scotland on 101 or make a report anonymously via Crimestoppers online or 0800 555 111."
