
Advance voting is being held throughout the country starting 8am on Sunday, with the largest number of eligible voters -- 61,401 -- registered to vote ahead of the March 24 election in Bangkok's Bang Kapi district.
A total of 928,789 voters from throughout the country have registered to vote, both outside and inside their home constituencies, in advance in Bangkok. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has set up a total of 77 polling units with 308 polling booths to facilitate them.
Of the BMA's 50 districts, Bang Kapi has the highest number of voters who have registered to cast their ballot in advance -- 61,401 -- followed by 42,508 in Bang Khun Thian, 40,816 in Huay Khwang, 39,448 in Lat Krabang, 35,108 in Bang Khen, 33,957 in Ratchathewi and 31,846 in Watthana.
Silapasuay Rawisaengsoon, the City Clerk, arrived at Mathayom Bang Kapi School and Ban Bang Kapi School, where advance voting in Bang Kapi district is held, at 7am for an inspection of facilities.
Advance voters began arriving at the school as early as 6am to check their names and wait to cast their ballot.
Advance voting is being held throughout the country between 8am-5pm.
