Acne doesn't just affect your skin, it can knock your self-esteem.
Despite a ranger of purported treatments and cures available (a number of which have adverse side-effects), many adults who suffer from acne and problem skin rely on make-up.
So when someone overcomes adult acne, then the response should be one of happiness for them.
Mooncaller Leda Muir recently took to Twitter to celebrate her clear skin, after a long struggle with adult acne.
The 25-year-old fantasy writer shared a staggering before and after, captioning the pictures with: "Three cheers for overcoming adult acne."
She even included details of her treatment, the measures she took to prevent scarring and the make-up she uses now.
"FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE STRUGGLING: I was prescribed oral minocycline (1 daily) for a year.
"For scarring, I used Josie Maran argan oil every night. Scars were gone within a year.
"Now, I use: Cleanser - Lush Ultrabland Toner - Lush Tea Tree Water Moisturizer - Lush Gorgeous."
People were amazed at Mooncaller's transformation and many hailed her an inspiration.
"Thank you thank you adult acne freaking sucks it’s like never ending," one fan wrote.
But not everyone took Mooncaller's post and advice at face value - but luckily she had the perfect rebuttal.
In a follow-up video, she filmed herself vigorously scrubbing her face with a wipe, before turning the tap on it and, nope, she's definitely not wearing make-up.
Case closed.
