Adrien Rabiot responds after Liverpool fans think they've spotted PSG midfielder at Anfield

Social media was whipped into a brief frenzy on Sunday evening when Liverpool fans thought they'd spotted PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot at Anfield.

The Frenchman appeared to be sitting in the front row watching the Reds' last-gasp victory over Tottenham.

Rabiot had been linked to both Liverpool and Tottenham as he winds down his PSG contract and it would appear he wanted to watch his potential future employers up close.

And the apparent sight of the Frenchman's trademark curly hair, along with a PSG baseball cap, was enough to stir supporters on social media.

Alas, it wasn't actually him.  Instead it was Liverpool fan Connor Deane, who delivered the bad news after the game.

But that didn't stop the real Rabiot from finally responding, and he saw the funny side of things.
