Adrien Rabiot 'agrees free transfer' amid Arsenal and Liverpool interest

Real Madrid are reportedly in pole position to sign PSG outcast Adrien Rabiot.

The French midfielder hasn't featured since the start of December after failing to sign a new contract.

Rabiot, whose current deal expires this summer, had also been suspended by the Ligue 1 champions for his antics after the defeat to Manchester United .

A host of clubs have been credited with an interest with Liverpool and Arsenal among them.

Barcelona appeared to be on the verge of landing Rabiot on a pre-contract agreement but PSG are reluctant to do business, criticising the conduct of the Spanish champions.

And that has opened the door for Real and returning boss Zinedine Zidane.

He had been keen on landing the midfielder last summer before his sudden exit after the Champions League final.

A long-term replacement for Luka Modric is high on Real's list of priorities this summer with Paul Pogba a target.

But Rabiot would be a much cheaper alternative to his countryman.

AS reports Real are interested in picking Rabiot up for nothing when his contract is in Paris.

It is even claimed that PSG believe they may have even reached an agreement with the European champions for the transfer.

Rabiot is idolise Zidane and would jump at the chance to play for the France legend.
