Adrian Peterson says he has a few years in the tank left

If the Washington Redskins want him, it sounds like Adrian Peterson will be around in the NFL a few more seasons.

Peterson recently told TMZ Sports he’s planning on playing for the foreseeable future, at least “maybe two or three more years.”

This isn’t anything new for Peterson, though it does come at an interesting time because the Redskins have to decide whether they want to bring him back or not.

Peterson, 33, ran for 1,042 yards and seven scores a year ago but was heavily reliant on the line in front of him.

Those Redskins have Derrius Guice on the way back and will hope to have Chris Thompson healthy next season. It seems like having Peterson in the rotation still would benefit all though — and he clearly wants to keep playing.
