Adrian Peterson isn’t a fan of losing for draft picks

Some Washington Redskins fans might like the idea of the team losing in Week 17 to guarantee a certain position in the 2020 NFL draft.

Those fans shouldn’t tell Adrian Peterson.

When asked about the subject, Peterson said too many coaches and players are fighting for their jobs to consider something like that. Per NFL Network’s Jane Slater, he also said: “People saying ‘oh lose you because you get the best draft pick.’ No screw that.”

Those who know Peterson already knew he’d say something along these lines. He is, after all, a 34-year-old running back who has managed 820 yards this year after 1,000 a season ago after arriving as an emergency solution.

Cincinnati has already locked up the draft’s top pick. Dallas, Washington’s opponent to close the season, has been underperforming but has reason to go all-out.
