Adrian Peterson passes Jim Brown for 5th on career rushing TDs list

Move over, Jim Brown — there’s a new player in the top five of the NFL history books.

Early in the second quarter of Sunday’s game, Adrian Peterson rushed up the middle and into the end zone, giving him 107 rushing touchdowns in his career, good enough to pass Brown for fifth place all-time.

Peterson and Brown had been tied for fifth since last season with 106 touchdowns, but Peterson surpassed that mark in his first game of the season; he was a healthy scratch in Week 1 for the first time in his career.

Next on the list sits Walter Payton, who has 110 career rushing touchdowns. If AP keeps running like this, he should be able to keep climbing that list.
