Adrian Peterson held out of practice with ‘minor ankle issue’

Washington Redskins veteran running back Adrian Peterson is being held out of practice on Monday, Day 10 of training camp.

According to ESPN’s John Keim, Peterson has a minor ankle injury that is holding him out of practice. Gruden confirmed this information in a pre-practice media session.

On a brighter note, rookie EDGE Montez Sweat is close to coming back. According to NBC Sports John Keim, Sweat walked out of the building with his pads and helmet, looking ready for practice. On his way to the field, a strength coach grabbed him and took him to a side field.

At least we know he wants to be out there.
