Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson isn’t afraid to make light of what just occurred in Week 1.
Peterson was inactive for the first time in his career, which has proven to be an incredibly divisive decision made by head coach Jay Gruden. The idea was Derrius Guice would start and the Redskins wanted help from other players on special teams.
That may not end up mattering now — Guice is hurt again.
In the tweet above, Peterson salutes a funny moment on Twitter, which could end up being pretty true to the real-life scenario again this week. If Guice is unable to go, Peterson is right back to being the every-down workhorse.
Despite what might be making the rounds as far as Peterson’s inactive status goes, he’s clearly taking it in stride and finding the humor in it.
