Adrian Peterson defies Father Time with a cutback run on a bad ankle

Bad ankle? No problem.

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson is impressing football fans all over Twitter on Thursday night after showing his youth on an impressive cut and run upfield midway through the second quarter of Washington’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Peterson was questionable to play against the Vikings, but he said that a matchup against his former team pushed him to fight the pain and suit up. So far, he has looked pretty spry, running for 33 yards in the first half, including that 14-yard scamper.

For the most part, the Redskins looked pretty good in the first half, despite a couple of small mistakes on offense, and stalling out in the redzone twice. The offense has been able to drive up and down the field, and QB Case Keenum has found a nice rhythm with his receivers.

We will have to see what the second half brings.
