Adrian Peterson back with Redskins on 2-year deal

Adrian Peterson is back in the building for the Washington Redskins.

A late addition to the team last season after Derrius Guice went down for the season in an exhibition, Peterson ran for 1,042 yards and seven touchdowns on a 4.2 per-carry average over 16 games.

Now 33 years old, Peterson didn’t figure to want to change teams again at this stage of his career. Washington’s run-heavy approach was perfect for his skill set.

Next season, Peterson will be asked to share the load with Guice and Chris Thompson. That running game will have to carry an offense led by either Case Keenum or possibly a rookie.
