Adrian makes debut after Liverpool dealt Alisson injury blow during Norwich clash

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker was taken off the pitch and replaced by Adrian after suffering an injury in the first-half against Norwich City.

The Reds No.1 struck a routine goal kick just before half-time and appeared to kick the floor after slipping, immediately going down and calling for medical attention.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, who scored the Reds' second and third goals against the Canaries, went over to the Brazilian and looked concerned as he received treatment.

Club doctors then called on the stretcher.

The Anfield crowd were stunned into silence before Alisson got to his feet to a huge applause and chants of his name which he acknowledged as he limped around the field draped with one arm over a physiotherapist and the stretcher was packed away.

Liverpool will be hoping the injury is not too serious with this being the first game of the new season.

New signing Adrian came onto the pitch with five minutes of normal time remaining in the first-half and didn't have a lot to do as Jurgen Klopp's side went 4-0 up through Divock Origi heading into the break.

Klopp gave Alisson a huge hug as he went down the tunnel.
