Adrian Lam makes two changes as he names strong Wigan Warriors side to face York

Adrian Lam has named a strong Wigan Warriors side to face York City Knights in the Challenge Cup this evening.

The head coach has made two changes to the side that beat Wakefield Trinity last time out with senior names Liam Farrell and Thomas Leuluai dropping out of the side.

Harry Smith comes into the starting line-up and will play in the halves alongside Jackson Hastings, who needs all the game time he can get after his delayed start to pre-season.

Sam Halsall starts at centre and partners Umyla Hanley on a young left edge. The 19-year-old made his debut for the Warriors last season and will look to make a positive impression amid a number of injuries at the DW Stadium.

Tony Clubb will make an appearance off the bench.

Wigan: Zak Hardaker; Umyla Hanley, Sam Halsall, Willie Isa, Jake Bibby; Harry Smith, Jackson Hastings; Brad Singleton, Sam Powell, Joe Bullock; John Bateman, Morgan Smithies; Oliver Partington

Bench: Tony Clubb, Liam Byrne, Ethan Havard, Joe Shorrocks
