Adrian Lam has kept Zak Hardaker in his preferred full-back position as Wigan Warriors face Castleford Tigers this evening.
Hardaker, who played centre last season, has shone in the full-back role during Bevan French’s absence at the start of the season and it seems he has done enough to keep the spot ahead of the returning Australian.
French returns to the side but he’ll play on the wing as Umyla Hanley drops out of the 17-man squad.
Harry Smith starts for the Warriors, coming into the line-up in place of the injured Thomas Leuluai to partner Jackson Hastings in the halves.
Tony Clubb also keeps his spot in the starting line-up, ahead of Joe Bullock who must come off the bench to make an impact for the Cherry and Whites.
Liam Byrne returns to the bench after serving a one-match suspension.
Wigan: Zak Hardaker; Bevan French, Liam Farrell, Willie Isa, Jake Bibby; Harry Smith, Jackson Hastings; Tony Clubb, Sam Powell, Brad Singleton; Morgan Smithies, John Bateman; Oli Partington.
Bench: Joe Shorrocks, Joe Bullock, Liam Byrne, Ethan Havard.
