Adrian Amos, Za’Darius Smith named captains for preseason game in Baltimore

Thursday night’s preseason game will include a cool moment for Green Bay Packers veterans Adrian Amos and Za’Darius Smith.

The Packers named Amos and Smith, who both have ties to Baltimore, as defensive captains for the preseason clash against the Ravens.

Amos grew up in Baltimore, while Smith played his first four seasons in Baltimore. The Packers added both during free agency in March.

The Packers also named right tackle Bryan Bulaga as an offensive captain, suggesting he’ll play with the rest of the starters on offense. Bulaga, now 30, has been given several days off of practice throughout training camp.

Coach Matt LaFleur said starters on offense and defense are expected to play roughly a quarter of action on Thursday night against the Ravens.

The game kicks off from M&T Bank Stadium at 6:30 p.m. CT.
