The adoration for Kylie was clear as the Australian pop princess and honorary Brit arrived in Manchester.
As the pop superstar prepared to perform a career-spanning show with her unbeatable back-catalogue of pop classics, fans dressed up in celebration.
Fans flocking to her Sounds Of The City concert at Castlefield Bowl wore sparkle and sequins to welcome the music legend to the city.
Broadway and West End dancer Wills Lishsman, 24, from Royton, partied alongside his mum Joanne, 55 and auntie Debbie Fricker, 49.
“I’ve loved her since her Fever album in 2002,” he said.
“She came to Manchester and I was too young to see her then. This is my first Kylie concert.
“She’s one of my idols and I love her.”
Zac Roylance,19, Lewis Hall, 23, Ezra Veng-Christensen, 26 and Olly Waldron, 20, are also huge fans of the gay icon.
“She’s always been there for us,” explained Zac.
“She’s phenomenal.”
Adam Zane, from Broadbottom and Brian Smith and Gary Simkins from Stockport have seen Kylie in concert many times before, including at the Manchester Arena.
“Canal Street is empty tonight,” said Adam.
“We’re so excited to see her, she’s such a legend.”
And Cathy Im, 42, from Mossley, has brought her nine-year-old daughter Iris to see her first concert after being a fan of Kylie herself since she was 11.
“I love Kylie she’s my favourite singer,” said Iris.
“My favourite Kylie song is the Locomotion.”
