Adorable stray kittens explore aquarium closed to public due to coronavirus pandemic

A group of stray kittens got the chance to explore an aquarium closed to the public during the coronavirus pandemic.

The four kittens were taken to Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta on Monday for a "field trip", and appeared to be very excited by their new surroundings - particularly the jellyfish.

Atlanta Humane Society shared the video in the hope their "adorable adventure puts a smile on your face".

The kittens were treated to the trip after a group of stray puppies were given the same experience.

Last month, footage of some of the pet rescue centre's puppies strolling around the aquarium was shared thousands of times.

The centre said the stray puppies had "the best day ever" at the aquarium and the kittens got a little bit jealous.

The society couldn't resist taking the group of kittens along for the experience too.

Georgia Aquarium shared the footage of the video, saying "we are smitten with these kittens".
