Adorable one-year-old Jack Russell is looking for a new owner in Edinburgh - could it be you?

A young Jack Russell terrier called Buster is looking for a forever home in Edinburgh. Could you be the person to save him from life in kennels?

The little dog had a hard start in life, according to the Scottish SPCA, so he needs a very special person to take him in, ideally someone patient who is willing to work with him and continue his training to help bring out the best in him.

The SSPCA say: "Buster can be very unsure in new situations and can find meeting strangers daunting. We have taken our time with him, ensuring everything he learns is done in a reassuring way resulting in positive experiences for him.

"Despite his worries, once Buster gets to know someone he loves attention and being fussed over but he must be given time to adapt to new situations.

"Buster is looking for an active home with someone who can help him flourish into the dog he can be. He will require an adult only household with a fully enclosed terrier-proof garden and an owner who has breed experience is a must."
