Adorable OAP dog in search of forever home in Edinburgh and the Lothians

An adorable OAP dog is looking for a forever home in Edinburgh and the Lothians and needs someone who can help her build confidence.

Jet, a Lurcher aged between 13 and 14, is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy walks. She would prefer one without other dogs or cats, though.

The SSPCA, Scotland's animal welfare charity, are re-homing Jet after she left her last home.

Her adoption page says she can be a little shy but quickly comes out of her shell once she gets to know people.

"This older lady walks well on the lead and doesn't seem to get too excited over toys. She is looking for a home where she can continue her socialisation and build her confidence."

She did come from a household with another dog however they were not getting on, she also cannot live with cats or other small animals.

Jet will need a home with a fully enclosed garden that she can enjoy and lots of love and cuddles!" the SSPCA said on Jet's adoption page.

The SSPCA work to look after thousands of animals every year, and look to find loving forever homes where possible.

They do ask for a fee to cover their costs, with them spending some £42,000 per day looking after animals in Scotland.

Every dog they rehome will be microchipped, neutered and treated against fleas and worms for six months. Vaccinations are also arranged.
