This is the adorable moment a man revives a puppy by giving it mouth-to-mouth after it was pulled from a burning building.

Chris Brassfield, an animal control officer, gave CPR to the dog after firefighters pulled it from a house fire in Oklahoma.

He breathed life into the dog and three others after being called to help resuscitate the pets which were caught in the blaze on Friday.

Footage showed Mr Brassfield performing CPR on one of the dogs, which was suffering from smoke inhalation, on the back of a fire engine.

He then picks up the puppy and holds it above the ground before it regains conciousness and begins to kick its legs.

Speaking to FOX23, Mr Brassfield said he did not think twice about doing what he could to help save the lives of the puppies.

“It’s just something that you learn and you’ve just got to go with your instincts,” he told the US news channel.

“It was kind of gross but you’ve got to do what you’re hired to do.”

Fire crews and Mr Brassfield were called to the scene after a mail worker spotted three dogs were trapped in the house as it burned.

The video taken at the scene was shared by Fort Gibson Police Department.
