Adorable moment KSI surprises young Pride of Britain winners mid performance

British rapper KSI provided one of the most adorable moments at this year's Pride of Britain Awards.

The 28-year-old star snuck on the stage at last weekend's event to surprise Hughie Higgerson and Freddie Xavi as they won the GMB Young Fundraiser Pride of Britain gong.

Best friends Hughie and Freddie have raised more than £220,000 for the Manchester Children’s Hospital after 10-year-old Hughie was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia last September and began three years of treatment at the hospital.

To say thank you he signed up for the hospital’s charity’s fundraising walk, but on the day was too ill to take part, so pal Freddie, 11, devised his own fundraising challenge, running 2km every day in the 50 days before Christmas.

The two boys, both from Manchester, were joined on stage by Good Morning Britain’s Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid, who asked Freddie if it was hard to keep going with his running challenge.

“I knew that Hughie was going through a harder time. What I was doing was nowhere near as hard,” he replied.

“The bond between us is unbreakable, we’ll be friends forever,” said Hughie.

TV presenter Ben then asked Hughie to sing a song as music mogul Simon Cowell was in the audience.

Dressed in a smart grey suit, Hughie took the microphone and began singing his little heart out as Simon and his Britain's Got Talent co-star Alesha Dixon watched on from the audience.

KSI then appeared on the stage and the two boys look gobsmacked as they were presented with one award.

"I just wanna say how proud I am of both of you. You're both strong-minded and strong-willed," KSI told them.

He then introduced Sir Mo Farah onto the stage as he presented them with another award.
