Our dogs are our world and we’d do absolutely anything for them - their safety is everything to us owners.
But it seems our furbabies are equally as protective of us... and our children. Not that we were ever really in any doubt. The bond between dog and owner is incredibly strong.
And that love stretches across the whole family.

One adorable puppy proved just that when she stopped a small baby from trying to climb the stairs.
The video, posted on TikTok by @hsearfoss, showed the tot trying to pull himself up onto the first few steps while the Great Dane blocked his path, even putting a paw out to prevent the baby from climbing.
It was an absolute heart-warming moment.
The caption read: “Lisa the Nanny Dog. Time to put up a gate!”
Still a baby herself, the five-month-old pup has won over millions of us, with the video receiving 11.7 million views and 1.7 million likes.
One commented: “She’s like where do you think you’re going buddy not upstairs.”
