Adorable moment dog tries to help England during Euro 2020 clash on TV

One clever dog was so interested during England's 4-0 win over Ukraine during Euro 2020, he seemed to be trying to help Everton's Jordan Pickford keep another clean sheet.

After the Three Lions' impressive victory on Saturday, Gareth Southgate is gearing up for hopefully another celebration after Wednesday’s semi final against Denmark and he may have some unexpected support.

That's because it’s not just us humans that are enjoying the European Championships, our dogs are too.

But some of our fur babies not only want to watch the football, they want to join the players on the pitch. Not surprising considering how much they love walkies, especially when there’s a ball involved.

In a video posted on Tik Tok by @charlottetate6, a German Shepherd can be seen following the ball up and down the pitch while his owners try to watch the England game on TV.

The on-screen caption read: “Can’t catch the ball son but good try.”

The video has so far had 19.6k views, but we think it deserves a lot more. It’s absolutely adorable.

It was posted during England’s latest victory and many commented on how the dog would be a welcome addition to the team.

Although after Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson scored the first goal for his country, we’re not sure they need the help.

One commented: “He does right. He more interested in the ball than the actual team he has his priorities straight that dog.”

A second added: “He’s better than any English or Scottish player.”

A third wrote: “Aww bless him, he wants to help England.”

“Aww bless him he wants the ball,” said another.

We thought this video was absolutely worth sharing, it really tickled us. How does your dog react to football on the TV?
