For those seeking relief from so many serious issues churning through the daily news cycle, we give you a baby elephant trying to overcome the difficulties of walking on a sodden slope.
The accompanying footage, captured last Friday at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in New South Wales, Australia, shows a young pachyderm trying to negotiate a patch of dirt that had recently been watered – and of course it’s adorable! (Best viewed with the volume turned on.)
The zoo’s Facebook description reads, “Sometimes a little bit of mud can be a bit problematic when you’re an Asian Elephant calf!”
Viewers may note that the elephant seems to be enjoying the experience, for the most part, despite enduring a brief tumble toward the end.
