Adorable footage shows Glasgow family scream with delight when baby boy says 'I love you' back to parents for first time

The parents of a Scots tot have gone viral for their adorable reaction to their baby saying ‘I love you’ back for the first time.

Aimee Strang, 20, and William Ronan, 22, from Glasgow were blown away after capturing little Blair Ronan saying those three special words after ‘millions’ of previous attempts.

In the clip, both Aimee and William can be seen lying in bed with their son, when William says 'I love you'.

The 15-month-old tot quickly replies 'love you' and both his parents faces turn to shock with disbelief.

Aimee and William both bolt upright and scream with excitement as wee Blair looks chuffed with himself.

Mum Aimee posted the footage on twitter and so far its raked in more than one million views from around the globe.

Aimee said: “We tell him we love him all the time but he never normally reacts and so we were shocked when he just said it back.

“We ran into my mum's room and showed all our friends and family, then argued about who got to post it on social media!”

She laughed: “The amount of times we say it and he just looks at us but it was so nice to hear him say it.

“We were so lucky to get it on video.”

The couple were left gobsmacked by the public response to the post as people worldwide began to message them about how it made their day.

Aimee added: “Our friends and family commented on it but the next day when we woke up it was at 2,000 views, I couldn’t believe it and by the end of the day it was 100k.

“Now it has over a million views and people from all over the world have messaged me to say ‘this has really cheered me up during lockdown’ so that's nice I’m really glad it has.”

Now Aimee and William are determined to get Blair to say it again with their cameras at the ready.

Aimee said: “He hasn’t said it again yet but he is so smart he just laughs.

“I think he knows - but we keep trying to get him to say it and hopefully will video it again.”
