Charlie may be in his alter years, but he is still a puppy at heart, as seen in this viral clip.
The black Lab has slowed down a bit in general, but he still has the iconic bum wiggle when he gets excited that's associated with the energetic breed.
The video, which was uploaded by TikTok user @molscot, shows just how much bounce Charlie still has in his legs, as he leaps up at an outstretched hand.
Charlie’s flurry of jumping amazed viewers on the app, with the clip being included as part of the ‘go little rockstar’ trend which celebrates people and pets having bursts of energy.
Initially Charlie may seem to show his age, starting the clip by cautiously surveying the room with an experienced eye.
But the Labrador quickly becomes fixated on the human to his right, and begins mentally preparing to show off his energy.
Charlie swiftly pounces on the man, who replies by sticking his arm out for the Lab to go at.
This is when Charlie fully displays the spring that remains in his step, as he leaps up at the hand in his face, bouncing lightly on his paws as he goes.
Viewers were enamoured with Charlie as soon as they watched the clip, with one user commenting: “Right in the feels. My dog is 12 or 13 and I love getting him playful and hearing his old dog noises.”
Another commenter wrote: “You can tell it takes so much of their energy nowadays. I wish they lived forever.”

Charlie isn’t the only of his breed to have captured the eye on social media recently, after Shelby the chocolate Labrador tickled users on Facebook thanks to his not-so-sneaky bin raid.
The mischievous canine was caught red-handed with the kitchen bin lid wrapped around his neck, leaving him no room to hide.
Thanks to the clip, which reached over 3,000 likes on Facebook, Shelby’s naughty habit was exposed and the dog hopefully learned his lesson.
Another Labrador to have experienced viral success on TikTok was Scout, a Lab cross whose excited reaction to the prospect of going for a run tickled viewers.
As soon as Scout hears the magic word “run” she instantly begins bounding around the garden in an incredible display of energy.
The Labrador only continues to impress from there, waiting patiently in her harness for her owner to give the go ahead for her to begin pulling him along behind her.
