Adorable dog makes hole in neighbour's fence to be with his best friend

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, and for one pair it was enough to drive them crazy.

Two dogs, Everest and Bear, proved they'll go above and beyond to be together, after making a hole in the fence between them.

The mischievous duo surprised their owners when they broke through the barrier to play and have fun.

Elizabeth Porter, from Red Wing, Minnesota, US, was getting ready for work when she noticed her three-year-old Saint Bernard fixated on a part of the fence.

She suspected Everest was causing havoc with the two-year-old English mastiff next-door - and soon spotted they were.

The 30-year-old nurse said: "It wasn't until Bear poked his head out that I realised that they ruined the fence my husband had built by himself.

"I honestly thought it was hilarious. Dogs will be dogs."

Hilarious footage shows Everest and Bear going to extreme lengths to reunite - and getting caught out in the act.

Elizabeth added: "She's a female, he's a male, and it's not the first time our giant Saint had ruined something expensive.

"My husband on the other hand did not find it funny at all."

Since the funny incident, Elizabeth and her neighbours have decided to put up a swinging metal gate between them.

"They can let Bear into our yard whenever and we can use their hot tub whenever," Elizabeth said.

Another sweet duo have stolen hearts online after their owner shared the heartfelt story of them becoming best friends.

Blaze the German shepherd cross became blind in 2020, but thankfully Satin the cat and learnt to 'talk' to him at home.

Satin helps Blaze navigate the world without sight and cares for his ever need.

Robin Wagner, 28, from Vermont, said: "Both the cat and the dog like to hang out in our bed with us. When Blaze would jump up, Satin would go barrelling out of the room before he stomped on her.

"But over time, we noticed Satin staying in her spot and giving Blaze a nice loud meow. He'd stop himself, and walk around her.

"Every time he'd be walking towards her, she would meow. She would meow and he would stop and redirect himself."
