Travelling by Scotrail can be a bit hit and miss, especially in the mornings. But one plucky pup decided to brighten up the commute today (9 April) by dropping its ball up to people so they'd play with it and liven up its journey - and theirs, too.
The collie was snapped by Twitter user Kim Thain, who wrote:
"THERE’S A DOG ON THE TRAIN AND IT KEEPS TAKING ITS BALL UP TO PEOPLE SO THEY’LL ROLL IT DOWN THE COACH AND THIS IS THE BEST DAY!"
Kim, who lives in the Highlands, wasn't alone in thinking that this was a brilliant start to the day: her tweet has since been retweeted almost 700 times, and it's also got over 5000 likes.
People have been responding to the adorable photos, saying:
"Awwwwwww, why are my train journeys never like this?"
Also: "It's great about the dog & its ball, but what's better is that people are playing with him."
And this excellent idea: "I think ScotRail should introduce this service as standard on all their trains. Life would be so much better for it."
Most people thought it was fantastic, although one person did suggest the dog should be on a lead and under control (they were quickly shot down).
A Scotrail staff member replied to the tweet too - presumably surprised and pleased to get a message that wasn't a complaint for once - and said:
"Awww, this has made my morning! Thanks for sending us this in."
