Adorable baby snow monkeys arrive at Scots Highland Wildlife Park

A troop of adorable baby monkeys have been born in the Scottish Highlands.

Two Japanese macaques, or snow monkeys, arrived at Highland Wildlife Park this week.

They are the monkeys behind the saying 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil'.

Scots animal lovers are swooning over the baby snow monkeys (Highland Wildlife Park)

Cute footage of the infants making themselves at home was shared by staff at the park in Kingraig, in the Kingussie area of Inverness-shire online.

A statement from the centre read: "It's snow joke just how cute our snow monkey babies are.

"Say hello to the two newest additions to our Japanese macaque troop."

Scots animal lovers reacted to the amazing clip in their droves.

Many put the park top of their list of places to visit after Scotland's coronavirus lockdown restrictions lift.

One follower said: "I can't wait to finally visit.

"Hopefully we're not waiting too long."

Another added: "Oh, they are just so cute."

A third wrote: "This is the first place we are going to after lockdown."

Macaques face a number of threats including deforestation.

Historically, they have been hunted for food and medicinal use.
