Adolf Hitler may have had micro-penis due to genetic disorder, researchers say

Adolf Hitler may have had a micro-penis due to a genetic disorder, researchers have claimed.

A ground-breaking documentary investigating the Nazi dictator’s DNA has revealed he had Kallmann syndrome, a disorder which delays puberty and hinders sexual development.

Researchers have revealed that there was a one in ten chance that Hitler would have had a micro penis, and he may have also had undescended testicles.

The analysis also shows the famous wartime song Hitler Has Only Got One Ball was close to the truth.

The DNA, which was originally collected from a bloody sofa in the dictator’s bunker in Berlin shortly after he took his own life, was also analysed to see if Hitler had Jewish ancestry.

Professor Turi King, who led the research, said: “If he was to look at his own genetic results, he’d almost certainly have sent himself to the gas chambers.”

King, who is best known for identifying the remains of Richard III, said that she “agonised” over the analysis.

She explained: “It will be done at some point and we wanted to make sure it’s done in an extremely measured and rigorous fashion.

“Also, to not do it puts him on some sort of pedestal.”

She added: “The genetics can in no way excuse what he did.”

Alex J Kay, a historian who specialises in Nazi Germany who was co-lead investigator in the documentary, that Hitler struggling to form sexual relationships may have been critical to him coming to power.

He said: “This would help to explain Hitler’s highly unusual and almost complete devotion to politics in his life to the exclusion of any kind of private life.

“Other senior Nazis had wives, children, even extramarital affairs. Hitler is the one person among the whole Nazi leadership who doesn’t. Therefore, I think that only under Hitler could the Nazi movement have come to power.”

The research will be covered in the Channel 4 documentary Hitler’s DNA: Blueprint of a Dictator, which will be broadcast on Saturday.

It comes after researchers revealed in 2022 that Hitler had feared having a serious illness.

Hitler was treated several times over 10 years by a German ear, nose and throat specialist.

Psychiatrists have previously suggested that a brief encounter with a Jewish prostitute may have led to Hitler's genocidal Holocaust.

They believe he may have caught the sexually transmitted disease syphilis which, if untreated, can eventually cause madness.
