Adobe has launched a free camera app for iPhone and Android users called Photoshop camera.
The app adds “insta-worthy lenses and camera effects to apply before or after the shot,” according to Adobe’s website.
Some of these filters are “pop art,” “dreamscape,” “sparkle”, and more.
In total, there are over 80 custom filters available in the app.
It can also add real-time Photoshop effects such as auto-tuning to adjust brightness and contrast, and portrait controls.

While the app can take photos and use Adobe’s Sensei AI to adjust them, it cannot record video.
The app was announced in November at the company’s Adobe Max conference, and has been in public preview since.
The aim of the app was to “bring the magic of Photoshop directly to your camera’s viewfinder,” according to Adobe CTO Abhay Parasnis, speaking to The Verge.
The company does not “see ourselves in competition with social apps or OS camera apps” but will try for partnerships to get its filters inside other apps or built-in to native camera applications.
It will also be updated with influencer content; at launch, Adobe has partnered with musician Billie Eilish for a custom filter.
“You can imagine a world ... where there will be special purposed lenses directly monetized” around events or spaces, Parasnis said.
Long term, the company hopes to introduce more people into its ecosystem through smaller apps.
That is “working well,” Parasnis said, “and Photoshop Camera is the next one in that journey for us.”
