Adnan Januzaj suffered what may be a hamstring injury playing for Manchester United’s under-21s against Norwich City at Old Trafford on Monday evening.

The Belgian, who recently returned to the club early from a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, pulled up just before the half hour mark before limping off a few minutes later. Guillermo Varela was also injured before the break though it was not immediately clear what the problem with the full-back was.

Januzaj and Varela had been joined by other first-team squad members, Memphis Depay, Phil Jones, Sergio Romero and Andreas Pereira in the starting XI, with Louis van Gaal watching on. Jones was replaced in the second half of a 7-0 victory in which Will Keane scored five times for United.
