Adlene Guedioura completes move to Qatar with Al Gharafa

Adlene Guedioura has completed his move to Qatar after joining Al Gharafa.

Nottingham Forest confirmed the midfielder's departure, with a short statement on their website today.

"Nottingham Forest can confirm that midfielder Adlene Guedioura has left the club to join Qatari side Al Gharafa for an undisclosed fee," it said.

Guedioura had already been pictured in Doha ahead of sealing what is set to be a lucrative move to the Middle East for the former Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder.

He returned to the City Ground for his third spell in January 2018 and made 28 appearances last season, scoring two goals. He was instrumental for his country as they triumphed in last month’s African Cup of Nations.

The Reds strengthened their midfield ranks with the likes of John Bostock, Alfa Semedo and Samba Sow during the summer transfer window.

Guedioura impressed for Algeria as they won the African Cup of Nations this summer, which looks to have earned the move he requested after returning from the tournament.
