'Adios' - Arsenal fans have Manuel Locatelli transfer concern after what he did at Euro 2020

Some Arsenal supporters are concerned about their club's chances of signing Manuel Locatelli this summer after his double for Italy against Switzerland.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as per Reddit, the Gunners are ready to offer €40m (£34m) for Locatelli as Edu looks to seal the club's first deal of the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a fine season for Sassuolo in the Serie A, earning him a call-up from Roberto Mancini to Italy's Euro 2020 squad.

And the Gunners-linked midfielder has absolutely taken his chance as he scored twice, either side of half-time, against Switzerland in the Italians' second group game.

He impressed in the opening game where Mancini's men comfortably beat Turkey 3-0, but his performance in the second match has really showcased what Arsenal could be getting if they do indeed make a move for the Sassuolo man.

However, some Gunners fans think he could have put himself beyond the club's reach with his latest display for Italy.

Arsenal may find it difficult to attract some of the continent's finest talents this summer due to the north London club failing to qualify for any sort of European competition next season.

However, the Gunners are definitely making moves as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his options.

football.london understands Arsenal made a £40million offer for Brighton defender Ben White.

The England international has emerged as a target following his fine form for the Seagulls last season, which earned him a place in the Three Lions' squad for the Euros.

As well as this, the club did bid £30m for Emi Buendia, but the Argentine midfielder decided to join Aston Villa from Norwich City instead.
