Adil Ray's hand disappears on GMB - here's what happened

Good Morning Britain fans may have been left baffled this morning as Adil Ray's hand seemingly vanished when he was mid-sentence.

The limb disappeared while he was talking to co-host Susanna Reid, 50.

The 46-year-old ex-actor was complimenting Susanna's new hair do and bouncy curls, who responded saying: "Thank you so much! I've had it cut."

Adding awkwardly: "Don't feel obliged to mention it every morning."

As Adil cringed and leant back as he started up a new topic that was when his hand just popped off screen.

Luckily as it popped back into shot almost immediately it was pretty clear that he hadn't of course lost his whole hand in a terrible accident - but what actually did happen?

It's all about social distancing, the duo are made to look like they're sitting close together on the show, when in real life they're actually far apart due to Covid-19 restrictions.

This isn't the first time the split screen has sparked misunderstandings.

Susanna was accused of "fondling Piers Morgan's bottom" as they attempted to social distance on set.

Viewers noticed the glitch and tweeted in that they had seen the presenter had been getting handsy with her previous presenting partner.

Piers said at the time: "Someone's just (tweeted in) and said, 'Piers, your split screen effect occasionally makes Susanna appear to be fondling your bottom'."

Susanna went on to extend her arm in his direction and Piers shouted "oof!" before the whole set burst into laughter.
