Adidas Yeezy Boost 350: Shoppers queue for hours in the cold on Oxford Street for Kanye West trainers

Hundreds of footwear enthusiasts queued for hours in freezing temperatures outside shoe shops in central London, hoping to be the first to get their hands on Kanye West's latest creation.

The black Yeezy Boost 350s went on sale today, whipping shoppers into a frenzy at shops across the capital.

Pictures emerged on Twitter last night of long lines of Yeezy fans waiting outside Footlocker in Oxford Street for the chance to enter their names into a raffle to bag a pair.

They were told to register their names in advance if they wanted to be in with a chance of buying the £149 shoes.

Twitter user Ashley, who posted a picture of the queues stretching along Oxford Street, said: "The queue just to order the yeezys at Footlocker Oxford Street mad!!"

Another account, Hoodhype TV, tweeted: "OffSpring adidas Yeezy 350 camp out looks like it has started Covent Garden."

The ‘Pirate Black’ trainers have already sold-out online, with pairs being resold on eBay for more than £1,000.

Adidas tried to make things fairer for online shoppers by randomly allocating visitors access to purchase the shoes.

The first 9,000 pairs of his Yeezy Boots sold out in 10 minutes after the musician signed a deal for his Adidas shoe line in 2013.
