Limited edition trainers sold for £90 at Size? stores in Leeds this morning (Friday) have been selling on Ebay for more than four times the retail price.
Overnight, hundreds of people queued outside the Briggate shop to get their hands on a pair of Adidas Originals Liverpool. Over in Sheffield at the Meadowhall store, two men waited 19 hours to get theirs.
The 2020 editions are the latest collaboration between Adidas and Size? and follow the successful anniversary range released in 2010.
The series became iconic in the UK and all over the world, with each shoe design celebrating six cities around the United Kingdom.
The Liverpool edition has now been sold on Ebay for as much as £400. Across the year, there will also be five more releases inspired by the twin cities of the original series’ London, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff, and Birmingham pairs.
The colour of each shoebox interior has also been flipped to match with the twin city. For Liverpool, the colours are inspired by twin city Dublin.
The pairs on sale in Leeds sold out within minutes of going on sale this morning (Friday).
