The Gallagher brothers are synonymous for many things: public spats, 90s bowl-cuts and their longstanding love affair with Adidas.
Their affinity to the legendary three stripes could be seen by Noel’s Garwen trainer, which he launched in 2017, and now Liam’s also taking trying his hand at design by launching his own signature sneaks.
Called the “LG SPZL”, the trainers are a take on the brand’s cult Padiham Spzl model and are comprised of beige suede, with “LG SPZL” stamped in gold along the sides and Gallagher’s face printed in bold on the tongue à la Stan Smith.
The launch of the collaboration coincides with the release of Gallagher’s new LP, 'Why Me? Why Not?' which is set for release in September.
Gallagher follows hot on the heels of other male musicians Donald Glover and Kanye West, who have also designed their own sneakers for the sportswear brand, with rumours also circulating that actor Jonah Hill has his own shoe design in the works.
The former Oasis front man articulated his feelings about the trainers in a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram by saying: “Best looking motherf**ker on the planet, best looking trainer on the planet.”
