Adidas plans to release Leeds United’s new kit on Wednesday afternoon, on its Australian website at least.
Time is ticking away in anticipation of the new Premier League season and the Whites will face Manchester United on the opening weekend in less than six weeks.
The window for the official release of the new kit is narrowing, but with the final design confirmed for several months now, various leaks around the world are springing up.
Last week, there was a picture of one shirt emblazoned with United, Adidas and SBOTOP logos for sale in an Australian retailer notorious for releasing new designs early.
Now, the manufacturer itself has created a holding page for the release of the new Leeds kit, on its Australian website at least.
Adidas’s description of the new shirt tallies with the picture from Down Under last week, with yellow and blue details, plus, crucially, a distinctive Henley collar with buttons.
The sportswear giant plans to make the kit available to customers on the Australian website from 2pm GMT on Wednesday, July 7.
Adidas’s shirt description is: “Pure Leeds United FC. When Adidas designed this home football jersey, we went for clean and classic.
“Yellow and blue details are taken from the club's badge include a club name sign-off under the back collar.”
It remains to be seen when United choose to launch the new design themselves.
