Adelphi hotel stabbing, 'humiliating' dress incident and horrific motorway crash

Good afternoon, these are the latest lunchtime ECHO headlines.

'Screams' heard near Adelphi hotel after man stabbed in stomach

People reportedly heard "screaming" near the Adelphi hotel after a man was stabbed in the stomach.

Police were called to the scene, on Ranelagh Street, at around 2.40am on Friday, January 7.

Emergency services attended and took the victim to hospital with serious injuries.

Police have since arrested a 24-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, who were found at an aparthotel on Fairclough Street, a short distance away from the hotel.

Woman forced to leave Liverpool club after humiliating incident in dress

A woman was humiliated after she had a wardrobe malfunction with her £75 dress.

Destiny Campbell's dress fell to pieces on a night out forcing her to walk home naked - only for the retailer to 'imply she was fat' by saying she should have bought a bigger size.

She was forced to walk back to her hotel trying to protect her modesty in the dress after it suddenly fell apart while out on New Year's Eve.

The 21-year-old had travelled to Liverpool to celebrate the start of 2022 but just after midnight, less than two hours after she had put the chainmail dress on, it began to fall apart.

Woman cut free from car after horrific motorway crash

Dramatic pictures show the extent of the damage to one of the vehicles (North West Motorway Police)

Dramatic photographs have been shared revealing the damage to a vehicle following a crash on the M6 this morning.

Miles of traffic were reported as emergency services closed the northbound section of the motorway between junction 26 (M58 Orrell Interchange) and junction 27 (A5209 Crow Orchard Road Standish).

North West Motorway Police shared the images on social media as it was confirmed to drivers the M6 will remain closed for most of the day.
