Adele looks absolutely determined to return to the music charts as a knock out success and has roped in some A List talent to help make her next album.
It has been five long years since the 32-year-old star released her third album, titled 25, in 2015.
Fans had hoped that the Rolling In The Deep hitmaker would unleash her new record this year – but the coronavirus outbreak has thrown the release date into doubt, with concerns that it might now be delayed until 2021.
However, the wait certainly looks like it will be worth it, as the star is said to be working with legendary producer Raphael Saadiq.
The 54-year-old music producer collaborated with the late Whitney Houston – and has helped create tunes for other music giants including TLC, Kelis, Mary J Blige, and Solange Knowles.
The Sun on Sunday also claims that Adele is working with smooth voiced music superstar John Legend on the new album – and hints the breakdown of her marriage to Simon Konecki will be a big focus of the new album.
A source told the publication: “Adele is pouring her heart and soul into this record, including how she feels post-divorce.
“She’s been a fan of Raphael since she was a teenager and loves his back catalogue.
“She wants her next album to be full of soul, with a more eclectic sound.”
Fans have been foaming at the mouth for new music from the star after a long wait.
However, she signalled last month that the coronavirus outbreak could delay the release of her next record for many months to come.
In June, a fan asked the star during an online Q&A: "Teaser? Albums coming out today???!!!! Tell me now!!!"
Shattering dreams, however, the chart-topping singer replied: "Of course it's not. Corona ain't over. I'm quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient."
Adele was married to businessman Simon between 2016 and 2019, and together have a seven-year-old son named Angelo.
Since their divorce last year, Adele has transformed herself; dropping an incredible seven stone.
The star hinted to fans that she was using the pain of her divorce as a weapon in her fight to transform her body.
She said in a social media post last year: "I used to cry but now I sweat."
