Adele 'won't badmouth ex-husband Simon Konecki' on new album to 'protect' her son

Adele's fans are itching for her new music, but it's claimed her next album will be different from the others.

The Someone Like You singer, 32, announced she'd split from her husband of three years Simon Konecki, 46, last year.

But she won't be following her old pattern of putting her heartbreak into an album, and instead will leave out anything too personal for the sake of their seven-year-old son Angelo.

Adele, who has recently been showing off her rumoured seven stone weight loss, has reportedly decided that she won't "throw Simon under the bus".

A source told The Sun: "Adele does not want Simon to suffer or be humiliated on this album.

"She enjoyed a great relationship with him and they are both immensely proud of their son."

The insider added: "She does not want Angelo learning about any of their issues through her songs, especially as he is getting older and kids are more aware of what she does for a living."

Instead it's claimed the new album will focus on a "wide range of emotions and subjects, reflecting on her journey and experiences as a mother".

Mirror Online has contacted Adele's reps for comment.

Adele confirmed she had separated from husband of three years Simon in a statement last year.

In it the former couple voiced their shared commitment to their son.

She reportedly won't go into details for the sake of their son (MDM)

Her spokesperson said: "They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy.

"There will be no further comment."

They had reportedly been living separate lives
