Adele to sit down with Oprah in tell-all interview as part of new album TV special

Adele has announced a two-hour special to mark her new album release in a programme that will feature a potentially revealing Oprah interview.

"Adele One Night Only" will air on the American network CBS on November 14, just days before the release of her massively anticipated new album '30'.

The show will explore the new album and the stories behind the songs as well as her divorce, weight loss and raising her son.

A UK airing has not yet been announced, but it's hoped fans will be able to watch the TV special around the same time.

Set to be filmed in Los Angeles, the live special will feature Adele's first new music since 2015, as well as old favourites.

When asked what the album would be about on an Instagram Live stream last week, Adele answered: "Divorce, babe, divorce."

An announcement of the programme details: "The special will feature an exclusive interview with Adele by Oprah Winfrey from her rose garden, in Adele's first televised wide-ranging conversation about her new album, the stories behind the songs, life after divorce, weight loss and raising her son."

On Friday at midnight, Adele dropped ' Easy on Me ', the first single and its accompanying music video from her highly awaited fourth album.

'Easy on Me' shattered records for Spotify’s most streamed song in a day with 19.75 million listens.

The song beat the previously held record by K-pop boy band BTS for the song 'Butter'.

Adele’s fourth album is her first album since the release of '25' six years ago.

The now LA-based megastar had kept her legion of fans guessing about her next album until it was officially announced last week.
