Adele stuns in velvet gown at BST Hyde Park as Las Vegas residency continues to be delayed

Adele pulled out all the stops as she took to the stage for the first of her BST Hyde Park Festival shows on Friday night.

The singer, 34, looked incredible as she showcased her slim figure in a black velvet gown with embellished sparkles to put on a captivating performance.

Adele put on a confident display as she entertained the 65,000-strong crowd, no doubt determined to put on a show to remember after she devastated fans when she cancelled her Las Vegas residency at the final hour in January.

The Hello hitmaker, who lost 100 pounds in two years, showed off her weight loss in the figure-hugging gown which featured a plunging neckline and cut out shoulders.

She amped up the glamour with a sophisticated up-do and her signature winged eyeliner and nude lip.

Adele has been working hard for the shows, and teased a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals on Instagram on Friday.

Adele looked stunning in the photos where she went makeup free and had her blonde hair styles in a loose wave.

She crossed her legs while sitting on a stool as she belted out her iconic hits and kept hydrated with a large bottle of water and a hot drink by her side.

Alongside the post Adele wrote: "Who’s ready for tomorrow!?"

Adele posted again to publicise her upcoming show which has an all-female line-up.

The snap featured her alongside Mahalia, Gabrielle, Kacey Musgraves and Tiana Major9 who are all performing in Hyde Park.

However, some fans are still disappointed that her delayed Las Vegas residency hasn't been rescheduled yet.

Her 12-week show, Weekends with Adele, was due to kick off at Las Vegas' Caesar's Palace on January 21.

However, just one day before, Adele took to her Instagram to announce that she would be postponing the shows, saying that it wasn't ready yet.

But due to being so last minute, many fans were left out of pocket due to some already being on their way to Las Vegas and spending money on hotels and travel arrangements.

Some of Adele's followers have tried to question the singer as to why no other plans have been put in place yet.

Adele seems to be ready for her upcoming London shows as she shared a selection of makeup free photos.

The singer, 34, posted a series of snaps to her Instagram page showing her rehearsing for her Hyde Park performances.

The star is set to perform at the BST Hyde Park Festival which comes after her Las Vegas residency was delayed.

"I’m very disappointed in the way you have treated fans who paid a lot of money to travel to see you. You have shown you have zero respect for people or the financial situations you have gotten people tied up into with a show that you knew was never going to happen."

While another wrote: "Are you kidding me? And you still are quiet about Vegas? I’m disappointed in you," as a third said: "Damn, Adele so I guess its f those that purchased tickets for Las Vegas."

Another took to the comments to say: "What about the Vegas shows? It has been months and no update!"
