Adele shares first look at sultry artwork for new single Easy On Me
Adele has finally revealed the release date and time for her song, Easy On Me, after recently returning to Instagram.
The Hello singer took to her page to share a picture of the song cover as well as the exact date fans will get to hear her brand new track.
" Easy On Me - October 15 - Midnight UK," she captioned the black-and-white photo.
Fans were freaking out in the comments as they count down the minutes they'll be able to hear Adele's voice.
" SONG OF THE YEAR AND RECORD OF THE YEAR IS COMING," one fan wrote in excitement.
Another commented: "She saved 2021," while one said: "Not Adele singlehandedly saving us."
Adele recently caused an internet meltdown when she shared a sneaky snippet of Easy On Me on her Instagram Live.
The 33-year-old singer's fans were overjoyed when she suddenly played a little of her new song and said she might get in trouble with her management for letting people hear it early.
In the lyrics of the new track, Adele sings: "There is no gold in this river that I've been washing my hands in forever.
"I know there is hope in these waters but I can't bring myself to swim when I am drowning in the silence, baby let me..."
Not only did she share a snippet of the song, but Adele also left jaws on the floor after appearing as the cover star for American and British Vogue.
The singer told the publication that her upcoming album, 30, has been written with her son in mind.
She explained that she hopes that one day in the future her son Angelo, nine, will listen to it and understand why she left and divorced his dad.
Thirty was a pinnacle point in Adele's life as it was the age that she married and divorced.
She said: "We got married when I was 30… and then I left. When I was 30, my entire life fell apart and I had no warning of it."
Adele split from water charity boss Simon Konecki in 2019 - a year after they wed - and their divorce was finalised earlier this year.
And like a lot of children, their son struggled to grasp why his family unit was changing.
She told the fashion mag: "I wanted to explain to him through this record, when he's in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness.
"It made him really unhappy sometimes. And that's a real wound for me that I don't know if I'll ever be able to heal."
