Adele sends fans into meltdown as they mistakenly think she's announcing album

Adele drove her fans wild with a rare post which made fans think she was announcing her album.

Fans have been waiting patiently for the songstress to drop a new album and they mistakenly thought this was the big moment.

But they couldn't be more wrong.

The singer was taking the moment to mark the 10-year milestone since she released Adele 21.

Alongside the cover, the hitmaker thanked fans for their support and letting her into their lives with her music.

Adele shared the happy message with her 39.4million followers.

She wrote: "Well I never! Happy 10 years old friend!

"It’s crazy how little I remember of what it was like and how I felt a decade ago.

"But Thank You from the bottom of my heart for letting us into your lives and letting me be a soundtrack to some of it x."

Adele fans admitted their disappointment and confusion in the comments.

"NOW RELEASE THE NEW ALBUM."

It comes after reports Adele allegedly used mediators to split her pop fortune with her husband Simon Konecki in a bid to avoid an acrimonious divorce.

It has been a long process since Adele initially filed for divorce in September 2019, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

They both co-parent their son Angelo.
