YouTube make-up artist Nikkie de Jager was ecstatic to welcome her "icon" Adele into her chair for a Power of Makeup session.
The singer, 33, chatted away as Nikkie, who has her own channel, transformed half of her face to show the difference some well-applied cosmetics can make.
Speaking about her song I Drink Wine, Adele said she used to sink booze at parties because she was bored.
"I would normally drink to make other people interesting, rather than to spice myself up!" she laughed.
Sipping a glass of Chablis, she added: "People at parties are bloody boring!"
The singer told Nikkie that her favourite song on her new album, 30, is My Little Love, which is about her son, Angelo.
She claimed that she’d changed a lot since splitting with husband Simon Konecki.
"Turned out I didn’t know myself before," she explained.
As the make-up went on, Adele admitted that she misses being able to go to the supermarket, because being spotted and photographed is "f***ing exhausting".
She also said if she could go back in time she’d love to have watched The Beatles perform in front of the screaming masses in the 1960s.
And if she could ask herself any question it wouldn’t be about her dramatic weight-loss, new boyfriend Rich Paul or her divorce.
In the end Adele, who said she’d admired the goth girls at school, was thrilled with the result and Nikkie said doing her make-up had "made my life".
