Adele's upcoming album branded 'so amazing' by close pal Alan Carr

Adele 's close pal Alan Carr has dubbed the singer's upcoming album 'amazing'.

The 44-year-old comedian, who has been best friend with the Rolling In The Deep star for years, has sang Adele's praises after he was given a sneak peek at some of her new tracks.

Speaking to Michelle Visage for Grazia, the television star revealed that Adele has still got her signature voice and it feels like 'an old friend'.

Alan's remarks come just one month before Adele's latest album is rumoured to be released in February 2021.

Speaking to the Ru Paul's Drag Race star, Alan revealed that he had been lucky enough to hear some of Adele's new material.

"I've actually heard some tracks on it," Alan said during his interview.

"Oh my god, it's so amazing. So amazing.

The Chatty Man added: "The thing is, can I just say this, I remember they change all the time because they're really rough things.

"Everyone's like, 'What's it like? What's it like?' But I said to her, I said, 'That voice is like an old friend."

Alan also maintained that there is only one Adele and no other artist has a voice that can compare.

He continued: "Because there are some people in the charts who sound a bit like Adele and you think, 'Oh they sound like Adele' and then when you hear Adele's voice again you go, 'Oh no, there's only one. There's only one Adele."

Michelle then asked: "Alan her voice hasn't gone skinny has it?"

"No, no, no she's still got a chunky but funky voice don't worry!" the comedian maintained.

Adele's fans have been eagerly awaiting her new album, the first studio album she has recorded since 2015.

While fans were sad to learn that the artist wouldn't be dropping any new music in 2020, it was revealed in December that Adele had finally been back in the studio.

Former Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain let slip that the Someone Like You star had gone to a top secret recording session in London to record some new music.

At the time, Matt also reaffirmed that Adele's new tracks will be well worth the wait.

Speaking on The Eddie Trunk podcast on SiriusXM, Matt revealed: "I just got to work on some new music for Adele.

"To hear that voice in my headphones was getting me chills. It was just so powerful and emotive."
